Panasonic VIERA G1 Series TC-L37G1 37-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

We have a 36′ built in wall cabinet and the 37′ tv fits perfect. It was simple to set up and the pic is fantastic. Controls are on the side of the tv, but the stand pivots to acess.

I am really pleased with the Panasonic LCD TV. The Amazon price is very competitive, and I received the TV without delay. I chose to go to the freight carrier to personally pick it up, though I could have waited another day for delivery to my home.
I am very familiar with Panasonic and know that they are a dependable manufacturer and give up brilliant harvest. This TV is no exception, the hook up is simple, though I urge purchasing an HDMI cable since it does not come with one. You do not need an expensive cable at all, as the inexpensive HDMI cables work fine.
I use DirecTV, and with the TV together to my satellite receiver with an HDMI cable, I receive an brilliant digital picture on all channels without subscribing to the HD service.
You will need to check your existing satellite receiver to be sure that it has an HDMI port, otherwise you must upgrade to a newer satellite receiver with an HDMI port. Without the HDMI hookup, you will only receive analog signals and not the clear, digital signals that will make your TV viewing much more pleasurable.
Unless you are a hardcore TV fanatic, you’ll be delighted with the Panasonic LCD 1080p 120hz g series TV hooked up with just an HDMI cable to your satellite receiver. The satellite receiver does not have to be an HD compatible receiver, it just needs to have an HDMI port.
I highly urge this product and did quite alot of research prior to my buy. You will not be disappointed with Panasonic or Amazon.com.
Hope this assess helps, as I always gain alot of quality information from other reviews prior to items that I buy. Excellent Luck and Keep the Faith!

Bought for Christmas. Fantastic picture and unique size to fit tight space (35.5″). I suspect sound quality would be improved with a surround sound logic, but overall I am very satisfied.

I bought a Panasonic Viera TC-L37G1 from Amazon in October.
In December the HDMI port (connection) bunged working.
Since the TV is less than 42 inches, here is no on site help even within the initially year. Panasonic web site says that you have to take it to a nearby service center.
I live in NY City and don’t have a car. The next-door service center is in a different borough. The TV weighs nearly 40 lbs. & is 27.8″ x 47.7″ x 9.0″ in size.
I now need to rent a van to drive 30 miles or so to the service center to get this repaired!
The most frustrating part is in attempting to reach Panasonic. I have emailed 3 times with no response from Panasonic. I have called Panasonic 3 times and each time the call center (Philippines) can’t connect me to the box department!
This is all very frustrating for a TV that is 2 months ancient.

I ordered Panasonic VIERA G1 Series TC-L37G1 37-inch 1080P 120Hz LCD HDTV on Jan 4, 2010. They delivered it on time, but not the one I ordered. It’s the initially time I ordered electronics on line, but I had terrible experience!!!! I’m waiting for the replacement; hopefully, it will be the new one. Not sure if I’ll refer this website to my acquaintances or place any orders after this one.
